Claw Grips Moon is the experimental electronic project of Philadelphia artist and musician David A. Saylor. Saylor has played in multiple Philly punk and indie bands in the past such as Exploding World, Daughter Cells, and Zinc Pony. Claw Grips Moon is a new project that is a culmination of a punk rock aesthetic into an experimental electronic and beat heavy project. CGM mixes IDM, house, downtempo, ambient, and trip hop. Divide and Conquer gave CGM’s debut self-titled album a 4.0/5, stating that the album is a “beat heavy album which often feels metallic and kinetic.” and compared it to “…Autechre, Boards of Canada and perhaps most of all Aphex Twin.”
